FAQS
covid-19
I will require my clients to Check in using the Check in CBR app, either at my home studio or on location. I will continue my high standard of hygiene, including wearing a mask, regular sanitisation and each client having individual deep cleaned brushes.
My standard cancellation policy, including a 50% non-refundable fee, will apply for cancellations due to change of mind, or travel restrictions impacting out of state bridal guests.
If local government restrictions deem that weddings are not permitted at all due to Covid-19 (ie. lockdown), I will work with the you to reschedule to a new booking date and transfer the original booking fee with a $100 administration fee (please note that with the new wedding date chosen, depending on dates, new rates could apply), if I’m unavailable for the new rescheduled date, 30% of the booking fee will be non-refundable (to keep a roof over my head).
If this did eventuate then I of course would work with you as best as I can to help figure out the best course of action.
Do you travel?
Getting married outside of Canberra? Don’t worry, I’ve got your back and can come to you. Whether it’s ACT, Southern Tablelands, Southern Highlands, Blue Mountains, Sydney, around Australia or abroad (hopefully one day soon), we can make it work. Travel fees do apply.
What are your travel fees?
•Travel & setup within ACT is $65.00
•For all my wedding packages, travel within ACT is included.
•Anything outside of the ACT is based on distance and in some cases accommodation may be required so I can be close by, on time, and ready to give you my very best (and do so safely – because, y’know, early starts and distance can make travel risky for a makeup artist. Kangaroo hour…) Get in touch for an estimate.
Do you do hair?
For weddings, no. I believe for weddings it’s best to have a team of people who are experts in their field and can focus on giving the very best in that service. (This also helps with time on the day)

When should I book my makeup artist?
How far in advance should I book my preview?
Do I have to have a preview?
Difference between a trial and a preview
• Preview – A chance to prep and test out your make up look ahead of the big day and are a part of all my wedding packages.
• Trial – A one off trial session booking. Your wedding date however is not secured or guaranteed.
What time should I be ready by?
Should hair or makeup be done first?
We can be flexible with this – but I do normally suggest makeup first. That way, you look fab while getting your hair done and while your photographer is taking photos and you can slip straight into your dress. Of course, this will depend on the scheduling, the hair style you are after and your hair stylist – but as long as there’s a time frame for high quality work, we will make it work too!
How long does it take?
I have an eye for detail and always make sure I allocate enough time to nail the look, with time for good skin prep, individual lash application and a high standard of hygiene practice between each client (and no this is not because of you know what, I have always been particular about hygiene), and that kind of work TAKES TIME! NO RUSHING!
Indicative timeframes are below:
• Preview – 2hrs
• Trial – 2hrs
• Wedding day Brides 1hr 15 special treatment
• Bridal Party 1hr 10min
• Event makeup 1hr 10min
• Junior 14 years and under 40min
• Junior 6years under 20min
How many people can you do?
DO YOU SUPPORT LGBTQI+ WEDDINGS?
Can you do makeup for all skin tones/ethnicities?
Absolutely! During my 2 year full time diploma training and 6 month Corrective Beauty training in LA, I have been educated to look at each individual’s symmetry and to use colour theory to enhance their beauty.
Do you use cruelty free products?
What brand of products do you use?
How do you ACCEPT payments?
Do you work with an assistant or second artist?
If required for large numbers and certain start times, I can enquire about bringing on a second artist. Please be aware that this is subject to artist availability, as I will only work with artists I know and trust will do the same high standard of work I strive for. This will need to be a minimum booking of 8 people and a second artist fee will apply. (At the moment due to limited artists available, I am unable to offer this at the current time)
Can I make changes to my booking?
• Scheduling/Location – Changes to your timing/schedule/locations after booking are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. Please ensure you contact me with any changes to your schedule as soon as possible.
